Great read. What came to mind was a recent “sales-concept” I learned.

The illusion of exclusivity sells.

Actual exclusivity is very rare.

Exactly. There was a company called The Franklin Mint that sold small pewter statues. I had a couple of ships from classic Trek. They billed them as “Limited Editions,” but years later I could still buy them new.

I loved, “Legitimate programs can explain how they work. Scams can only describe the result.”

At the same time that’s the number one thing you sell as a marketer.

“You don’t sell the trip, you sell the destination.”

Phenomenal article. I find it applicable in basically every area of my life.

Now I am at the point where if I come across something that seems like a good deal or too good to be true I tend to research more now to verify.
